Jaclyn + Justin
If you're searching for a wedding venue that feels like an elevated escape into the mountains—with thoughtful design, intimate spaces, and just the right amount of wild then Flat Mountain Farm in Highlands, NC might be exactly what you're looking for. Tucked into the Blue Ridge Mountains, this intimate and charming property is a haven for couples who want natural beauty, a little privacy, and a lot of intention behind every detail.
This gorgeous 28 acre private estate is nestled just minutes from downtown Highlands, but it feels like you’ve stepped into a quiet retreat miles from anywhere. Originally established in the early 1900s and thoughtfully restored in recent years, this boutique property offers the perfect blend of rustic charm and modern elegance.
Okay, now onto the real stars of this blog post: Jaclyn and Justin. These two have one of those friendships turned love-stories that make you want to text your high school crush and see if they’re still single (actually don’t do that —just enjoy this story instead).
Longtime friends from school, Jaclyn and Justins bond slowly and beautifully evolved into something deeper. By the time they said “I do,” it felt like everyone had been rooting for this moment for years.
Their wedding day was full of joy, laughter, and love. Friends and family made the trek up from Atlanta to celebrate, and let me tell you it was worth every mountain mile.
As a Highlands wedding photographer, I can’t recommend this venue enough. It’s beautiful, versatile, and filled with the kind of magic that makes for unforgettable wedding days (and stunning photos, of course).
Jaclyn and Justin—thank you for letting me be part of your love story. Here are some of my favorite photos from their day. Also, huge shout out to all the vendors who made this day possible.
