Museum of Fine Arts St Petersburg Latest Exhibit
Got any plans May 18th - September 15th? If not, I suggest you run, don't walk to the Museum of Fine Arts St Petersburg and check out the exhibit called Never the Same Song. Artists, Lizzi Bougatsos and Lonnie Holley combined their common values to produce a mixed media gallery meant to move you. In the words of MOFAs curator, Katherine Pill, "These are artists putting everything they have into their work, calling out forgotten histories, and creating visual languages that defy categorization." I was so grateful to be there on the opening night capturing the big reveal. What blew me away {besides the art} was the amount of support from the community. They came, they celebrated, they shared warm embrace and deep conversations. Immediately following the exhibit reveal was an intimate dinner out on the veranda to celebrate the success of these two artists and everyone who made this exhibit possible. Quick shout out to the vendor team. Florist was Wonderland Floral Art. The caterer was Constellation Culinary. The tablescape was provided by Connie Duglin Linen and Tampa Events. These pictures are the tip of the iceberg, and I highly recommend taking an afternoon to experience the exhibit for yourself. To purchase tickets or check availability click here.
